Cube

In the universe of Alan Decker's Star Traks (and its spinoffs), misfits of the Federation find themselves serving on the Secondprize, Explorer, and Banshee, or are shuffled off to Waystation at the edge of explored space. The Traks parodies follow the age-old tradition of military organizations to build omega squads and then fill them with square pegs and other inconveniences.

The Borg PR department would like all species to believe that the Borg are different...there is no such thing as an imperfect drone. The four thousand members of Exploratory-class Cube #347 (and three thousand upon Lugger-class Cube #238) would beg to differ. Forever sent on low-priority tasks, the imperfectly assimilated of the Borg empire weave their way through space, trying to become closer to the One...and failing miserably.

Winter is upon the BorgSpace author, and she expects the final two stories of the BorgSpace Cube #238 mini-series will be completed by spring. Or maybe not. On the other hand, the THIRD to the end story is now posted! Horray! Head on over to the story page to check out Bloodsport. Cube #238 has been stolen away by Green for the sake of some (very rich) clients who need new entertainment in the form of gladiatorial fodder. Only a hundred "champions" are needed; and while all hundred are promised to be returned to the cube at the end of the game cycle, there is no guarantee concerning how many pieces such shall be.

As usual, the concept of "posting schedule" is very much irrelevant.

Still in the grand litterbox of life are: (1) [New] Attempting to convert archived series into eBook format(s); (2) the BorgSpace counter, and any other .cgi page which became even more broken when the server was updated; (3) the BorgSpace section of the Star Traks wikipedia; (4) the long-promised forever-and-ever game; and (5) the BorgSpace Project. Everything will happen as it happens. It is somewhat likely that #1 (and #2 and #3) may occur in the sorta-near future. Or, maybe not. Shiny objects are distracting, especially when cloaked in a temporal phenomenon.
